cats at patch’s

At Patch’s we have two very special feline residents - both had a rocky start to life and both now living happily ever after. Toula and Bella live inside to keep the wildlife safe.

Meet Toula

At just one week old,  Toula was injured when she was accidentally stood on. She was very ill when Brigid took her home. She had to be cared for and hand raised by Brigid. The early illness left her with renal damage. However apart from drinking large amounts of water, she leads a healthy happy life. Now nearly 15 years old, Toula is still going strong and calling the shots.

Meet Bella

Bella was bought as a kitten with her brother and sister on an impulse. Realising they didn't really want them, the owner then surrendered them to a carer. They stayed with the carer until adults but eventually the brother and sister were re-homed. Bella became very withdrawn and luckily we were able to take her and she quickly was accepted into our cat family. Now Bella and Toula are good friends and even snuggle up together.

“A cat has absolute emotional honesty.  Human beings, for one reason or another may  hide their feelings, but a cat does not.”
