Founder/CEO/Director - Brigid Beckett
Brigid Beckett is a qualified veterinarian, has a Master’s degree in Chinese herbal medicine, a graduate diploma in Environmental Science and is a qualified human and animal acupuncturist. Brigid has volunteered for both Animal Rights and Rescue and Pets for life.
Director & Vice Chair - Brent Evans
Brent Evans grew up in a farming family. He has a lot of experience in animal husbandry and farm work and spent many years as a veterinarian assistant.
Brent has volunteered at animal shelters and worked on de-sexing programs at shelters on the NSW North Coast. His also has a passion for failed and retired working dogs, many of whom he has rescued and re-homed.
Director/Secretary - Cathy Blasonato
Cathy Blasonato has been involved in animal welfare for many years, both as a volunteer and on a professional basis. Cathy spent five years as Supporter Services Manager and Grants Manager for the International Fund for Animal Welfare (AUS.) As well as being a board member for Patch’s she is also on the board of Soi Dog Australia. Cathy is a delegate for the Animal Justice Party (AJP) NSW and a regional group leader. She also stood for the AJP in the 2019 state election in the seat of Ballina.
CHAIR PERSON - LEONARD COYNE
Leonard has a degree in Computer Science and has worked as a software engineer for many IT companies including IBM and Microsoft. He is currently working as a digital marketing adviser and consultant to many Not-for-profit organisations both in Australia and Asia. His passions are rock climbing, skiing and statistical mathematics.
board member - LINDY STACKER
Lindy first became involved in the environmental movement in the late 1970’s. She has worked for many Not for Profit organisations including, Greenpeace, Humane Society International and International Fund for Animal Welfare, World League for Protection of Animals and many more. Lindy is currently a volunteer for Friends of the Koala, and Bangalow Koalas, both based on the north coast of NSW. She is also a wildlife carer and continues to campaign for protection of wildlife.
BOARD MEMBER - PAULA HODGSON
Paula founded the Bali Street Dog Fund (Australia) a Not For Profit Charity in 1999 to help reduce the pain and suffering of the dogs and cats in Bali. Paula not only runs the Bali Street Dog Fund but also works remotely for their NGO partner organisation Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) in Ubud, Bali. Paula was also a founding member and served on the Board of BAWA WA (Perth) for five years.
