The story of Patch

Patch was the cow who started it all and although she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on. Here is her story: Patch's mother died soon after giving birth and Patch somehow raised herself by taking milk from other cows when she could. She stood out from the others by being very undersized and unhealthy looking. Living nearby, we had watched Patch and noticed she was being prepared to be sent to the sale-yards. At that moment, we made the decision to buy her.

From that day on, Patch was fed supplements and had her health needs addressed. She became a healthy young cow with a lovely nature and a big personality. However, there were other Patch’s out there and it wasn’t long before other cows joined her.
